A heavy-duty tubular latch is a robust locking mechanism used to secure doors in high-traffic or heavy-use areas. Unlike a standard latch, it's built with stronger materials and components to withstand frequent operation and greater force. The latch fits into a cylindrical hole drilled into the edge of the door (hence "tubular"), and it's typically used in conjunction with lever handles or door knobs.
To maintain compliance with the fire standard for these hinges, it is recommended that you fit these with the relevant intumescent pack (GRA 16 & GRA 16.2)
